PARCO DELL'ADDA - TRAGHETTO DI LEONARDO

RITROVO : Paderno D'Adda via T.Edison, incrocio tra via Alzaia Naviglio e via Airoldi

Passeggiata guidata lungo il fiume Adda. Al bosco di alto fusto si alternano vaste aree ricoperte di essenze tipiche del bosco ceduo e del sottobosco: carpino, castagno, sanguinella, nocciolo, robinia. Tra la vegetazione palustre crescono i più bei fiori d'acqua: la delicata ninfea, il giglio selvatico giallo, il mughetto e numerose famiglie di veronica. In questo ambiente è presente una ricca fauna, sia dell'ambiente terrestre che di quello fluviale. Ciò ci permetterà di confrontare le caratteristiche di questi diversi habitat.

Il parco ospita testimonianze interessanti di ingegneria idraulica del secolo XIX. Fra le opere di ingegneria civile è notevole il ponte di ferro di Paderno: nel livello inferiore del ponte transita la linea ferroviaria elettrificata Milano–Bergamo, mentre sul livello superiore passa la strada provinciale. Arrivati a Imbersago potremo attraversare il fiume utilizzando il celebre “traghetto di Leonardo”, con la possibilità di pranzare in un ristorante tipico nei pressi.

MEETING: Paderno D'Adda via T.Edison, cross between the Alzaia Naviglio and street Airoldi

Guided walk along the river Adda. The tall woodlands alternating vast areas covered with plants typical of the deciduous forest and undergrowth: hornbeam, chestnut, dogwood, hazel, black locust. Among the marsh vegetation grow the most beautiful flowers of water: the delicate waterlily, lily Wild yellow, lily of the valley and numerous veronica families. In this environment there is a rich fauna, both of the land and of the environment of the river. This will allow us to compare the features of these different habitats.

The park is home to interesting examples of hydraulic engineering of the nineteenth century. Among the works of civil engineering is remarkable the iron bridge of Paderno: in the lower level of the bridge passes the electrified railway line Milan-Bergamo, while the upper level passes the road.

Once in Imbersago we cross the river using the famous "Ferry Leonardo", with the option of dining in a restaurant in the vicinity.
